Cline Named Director of Instruction for Bear Creek Country Club

James D. "J.D." Cline, one of the Northwest's most respected golf teachers, has been named the new Director of Instruction for Bear Creek Country Club in Redmond.

Cline, who has Master Instructor certification from the prestigious Jim McLean Golf School, has most recently been associated with the Pacific Coast School of Golf in Bellingham, WA, where he was co-founder. His 20 years of coaching experience include stints with the McLean Schools at PGA West in California and in Florida.

Cline has worked personally with McLean and with other golf notables, including Carl Welty, Jackie Burke, Jr., Jerry Mowlds, Peter Kostis, Gary McCord and Billy Harmon.

Employing highly sophisticated video technology and computer software, Cline has truly enhanced the visual learning potential for his students and is excited about the move to Bear Creek.

"Bear Creek gives me the opportunity to help an even broader base of golfers of all abilities at a very popular and challenging facility," Cline said.

A PGA of America Class-A professional, Cline was the 1996 PGA Central Washington Teacher of the Year. He has been a featured instructor in both instructional videos and on the Golf Channel. As a player, he participated in the 1999 US Senior Open and was a Hudson Cup Member from 2000-2003.
